I am lonely here.
Ain’t no one I know in here.
Am I going home?

Self Portrait
LOST

I am lost
I am lost in this
HUGE forest
We call
LIFE.

I am lost and
No one can find me.

I am lost with
No trails behind
Me.

Found by things unknown
Like
A luggage bag
On its
Own. No matter how hard
You try to
Find me
I am too
D
E
E
P
I
N …

I am lost
Lost like
A sunken ship.

I am lost.

Memory Poem
Other places I could be,
Why did it have to be ME?
The staircase, my mom, my dad
Give me
Reasons to be
Sad.

“Te odio” says my mom
While it was raining
While there was no sun.
The love in the room
Dimmed a lot
Just like the light
On the staircase
That looked like a dot
“RAIN RAIN GO AWAY DON’T COME BACK ANY OTHER DAY!”
“Acunmatata” which means “no worries”
I gotta stop this
HURRY HURRY!
Speak Paulette! Spit it out
The clock is ticking
Time is running out.

The silence
In my head
Begins to grow
As I try to remember lines
I don’t know
Right there and then
I FORGOT!
I felt my brain got a CLOT.

Nothing left to do
After the disaster
I didn’t have much to do.
So I went to my room
And put on my shoes
And went outside to
Play since today was
“One of those days.”

POETRY HIDES

Where do poems lie?
Beneath the ocean,
In the sky?
The answer is yes,
And in many places too.
You see they can be on your shoes,
On your feet
Even in places that you eat
In a song (DING DONG)
Poetry’s everywhere.
You just have to look
The place they might be
Could be in a book
In a wallet someone took
On your best friends shirt
On the ground
In the dirt
In a card
In a quote that YOU wrote.
Poetry is everywhere
You just have to
LOOK!
