The Purist Nature

Author:
dhodapp

Every time I look outside

I envy the things I see.

I wish I could be them.

Their feelings, their minds, their traits.

I wish I could be the loose leaves,

Who are guided by the wind.

And like the grass,

Who can just lie upon the ground.

To be like the sun,

And not be afraid to shine.

Oh, to be like the moon,

To fascinate these people.

And if I were the rain clouds,

I wouldn’t be asked why the tears fall down.

And if I were the galaxy,

I wouldn’t have to feel so small.

But these things can be free,

And they can’t let people down,

No matter what they do.

Because they are just pure nature.

That’s what I envy most of all.

I don’t have the ability to just be me.

I don’t have the courage, the strength,

The choice to act myself.

In fear of disappointing others.

Because that is my nature, and I must live with it
