In the story, Thank You Mr. Falker by Patricia Polacco is about a girl named Trisha whom grew up loving books, but didn't know how to read. Like Trisha didn't know how to read kids bullied her. One of the messages of this story is it is not good to bully.
In the beginning of the story Trisha was bullied by Eric. Then one day "Eric waited by the door of the classroom for her and pulled her hair." Trisha started to cry. Eric hated Trisha so much he made all the kids wait for her outside in the playground.
In the middle of the story Mr. Falker helps Trisha not get bullied. One day at recess, Eric followed Trisha to her secret hiding place. Eric was about to say something mean to Trisha but Mr. Falker came and saved her. Every time Trisha tried to sound out words she got it wrong and, kids laughed at her. That was really mean.
At the end of the story Mr. Falker helps Trisha change. Mr. Falker said "but little one don't you understand, you don't see letters or numbers the way other people do. ‘And you've gotten through school all this time, and fooled many, many good teachers." Mr. Falker and Ms. Plessey helped her learn how to read.
In conclusion, you should never bully it isn't good to bully. I know for experience because in first grade my friend Katy got bullied because she didn't have a Wii or a DSI. That made me feel so bad that I had to defended her that nobody bullied her ever again.
