In the story “THANK YOU M’AM ” by Langston Hughes it talk about how Roger gets a lesson learn from when he tries to steal from an old lady. in the story “GROWING UP” by Gary Soto, talks about how Maria’s family is going on this vacation but Maria doesn’t want to go, because she thinks she is to grown up for that. in both stories you can tell they have problems in their life while growing up, also while you are growing up things may not always go your way.

Roger learns that when you want something, you can’t steal something because that isn’t right you have to earn the things you want. in the story “Thank You M’am” by Langston Hughes It talks about how Roger tries to steal Ms.Jones Purse to buy something that he couldn’t Buy. Ms.Jones Catches Roger takes him in to help him understand stealing isn’t right and that you can’t always have what you want. this shows how you can’t have everything given or handed to you in life.

Maria learns that she is growing up that she might be to Old to do the things that her family likes to do. In The Story Maria’s Family Is Going on Vacation like they always Do But Maria feels that she is To old for that, but she tries to make her dad Understand That  Her Daughter Is Growing Up. The Example for the Story shows that Maria Is Growing up and Might Be too Old to do the thing her father might want her to do.

In Both stories it shows that the main Characters Learn Their Lesson the hard way. All In All Both Characters Have Problem that has to do with Responbitiy and Growing Up. In “Thank You M’am” Roger Learns. He can’t always get what he wants & In “Growing up” Maria Learns That She Has to Make Sure that Even Though She Is growing Up She Makes Good Choices While Growing Up. These Stories both tell that while you’re growing up you can’t have what you want.

While you’re growing up Things May Not Go Your Way. These Story Help Me Understand, That Even Though When Life Gets You At Your Worst. You Should Always Keep Your Head Held High. That Is What I learned or understood From Both Stories. In my Own Life When I Wanted To Get a Cell Phone My Mom Told Me That She Wants To Buy Me One But She Couldn’t At The Time. I’d Waited and Waited. I Finally Got One. The First Thing I Did Was Not Remembered Where I Left It In The First Place, I went crazy and all along It Was Right In Front Of Me. I think that shows that even in the problem you still had to be mature and learn from your mistakes.
