Me (self portrait)

Eagles soar high above the rest

And so do I brilliant and

Intelligent

A flute of an orchestra

Quiet and peaceful

Like me

Me, me

Spring can be kind and rough

Like me

I am like an unfinished painting

And I never will be finished

When night comes I am the

Night

Someone who likes to sleep

This is me

Me

A good person of the everyday world

Is me

An old tired jillopy

Me, me

Clouds can change oh so rapidly

Like me

A cat can be your friend and

Then turn on you

Like me, me

Me

A pepper, cool at first and then, wham

Hot on fire and mad

This is me

I can act like an on going robot

For hours and hours

Me, me

Orange, sweet, cool, calm

Sour, citrus, me

This is me

This is me forever and for good.

Computers (6-room memory)

A computer

Big and bulky

Too many pieces

A new computer very bright

Big and bulky

Long hours to connect and run

Big and bulky and bright

New and exciting

Central park (city haiku #1)

Central park quiet

Middle of a huge city buzzing

Relaxing peaceful park

Rivers (city haiku#2)

The Hudson to the

Left the east river to the right

Manhattan center

The World (4-room memory)

Respect is something

You give and receive

Respect people and they give in return

Respect your surroundings and

Yourself.

Nature is trees

Birds, animals, flowers that bloom

Green grass pastures and the horizon

Quiet and peaceful

Songs of long past days

Of nature of birds of trees

Of flowers blooming of green grass pastures

War on oil drives prices crazy sky high

Seven years four thousand American deaths since

9-11-01

Will it ever end or trek on forever until the end

School Spanish isn’t worth

Much time because

Do we really need a second language?

When everyone should speak

English

Even though many do not

So is a second language good or bad?
